അതെ വളരെ മനോഹരമായ സിനിമയാണു. സത്യജിത്ത് റേയുടെ മികച്ച ഒരു സിനിമ. ഇതിനു രണ്ടു ഭാഗങ്ങൾ കൂടി ഉണ്ട്. പറ്റുമെങ്കിൽ അതും കാണാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുക
കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. പറ്റുമോ എന്ന് നോക്കട്ടെ
ഇവിടെ ആ DVD കിട്ടുമോയെന്ന് നോക്കട്ടെ. കണ്ടിട്ട് അഭിപ്രായം പറയാം.

@ശാലിനി Its tranaslation from Bengali(As told by one of my friends) is like Gupi Gayne ---Gupi Singer,Bagha Byne---Bagha Drummer (i.e. who plays Dhol or kind of instrument)
Original story penned by Ray's Grand father Upendra Kishore Ray Chowdhury. Songs are mixture of classical and Folk music, its superb.
Tapen Chatterjee who acted as Gupi passed away yesterday……………
In earlier life he was an auto-mobile engineer……………later he joined journalism…….there he met Satyajit Ray……….this was his first role…..originally the role was supposed to be played by Kishore Kumar……..Later Ray changed the cast………..
